Project Self Sufficiency, Newton, NJ wanted to develop a gallery of past clientele portraits that would be encouraging and give hope to those who entered their doors in need. The “Portraits of Hope” was the concept theme presented by Project Self Sufficiency when they solicited Gravity for their help. The photography was already in progress by Rob Yaskovic who has done work with them for years. Suggested sizes and finishing techniques were discussed and a template for the text design was produced. Those married with the images, produced an amazing result. 33 black and white, mounted, laminated and edge-wrapped pieces that were 30” x 60” complete with French cleats mounted to the rear. Gravity took the time to survey the areas of installation and even helped set up the gallery for the Grand Unveiling. The project has been a huge success for them and Gravity is currently preparing for the next round.
